There are often times in our journey towards our goals and dreams where we would rather stay in bed a little bit longer and start working a little later, or not put that extra hour each week at the gym – because we are feeling “tired”.
Or in the case of Jerry West, not putting in that extra practice shooting hoops on a day were he wasn’t particularly feeling 100% his best.
As humans, our brain is wired to minimize effort, this can often be to our detriment as we can form bad habits, become lazy and make up poor excuses.
Our mind quite’s 1000 times before we are actually at our limits. We should try to overcome our mind while being cautious about not going beyond our actual breaking point (both physical and mental). So don’t find excuses, find reasons to succeed!
